Statement of Faith

We embrace the following truths, allowing them       to guide our words, actions, and attitudes:

  • We believe the Bible, the inspired, infallible Word of God, is completely trustworthy, speaking with supreme authority in all matters of belief and practice (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Matthew 5:17-19).

  • We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6).

  • We believe all people, being created in the image of God, have intrinsic value, but, as a result of sin, are spiritually dead, alienated from God and each other, and therefore in need of reconciliation, being completely unable to save themselves. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-19; Ephesians 2:16; Colossians 1:19-20,22).

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully human; He demonstrated God’s love for sinners by suffering the penalty of death in their place, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to heaven where He intercedes for His people (John 1:1-4; Matthew 1:23; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4, 4:15;
    Acts 1:11, 2:22-24).

  • We believe all who, in response to the call of the Holy Spirit, repent and trust in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior are, by the grace of God, declared to be right with Him receiving forgiveness and eternal life (Titus 3:4-7; Luke 24:46-47; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:24, 4:16, 5:20-21).

  • We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will return personally in glory, raise the dead, and judge the world (Luke 9:26, 21:27; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Colossians 3:4; John 5:27, 6:39-40, 6:54, 21:22).

  • We believe all people will rise from the dead, those who are in Christ to enjoy eternal life with God, and those who are lost to suffer eternal separation from Him (Revelation 20:11-15; 1  Corinthians 15:51-57).

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, who imparts new life to those who believe in Christ; through His indwelling presence and transforming power, He gives assurance and equips believers for holy living and effective service (Galatians 5:16-18; Romans 8:9).

  • We believe the Church is the body of Christ, the fellowship of all believers, and is commissioned to make disciples of all nations (Ephesians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:12,27; Romans 10:9-15; Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15).
